Mawuena Kattah’s film selected for Real to Reel: The Craft Film Festival

Mawuena Kattah’s film documenting her creation of large scale ceramic works will be screened as part of the Real to Reel film festival.

Produced by the Crafts Council and Crafts magazine, the inaugural edition of Real to Real was launched in May 2016. The UK’s first film festival devoted to craft returns to Picturehouse Central from 2 – 4 May 2017. Showcasing the breadth and depth of talent and technique that spans the UK’s craft and moving image communities, the festival aims to give a platform to the wealth of films that explore themes of making, makers, materials and process in the broadest sense.

The 10 minute short film ‘Mawuena Kattah – Ceramics, Textiles and Works on Paper’ was filmed and edited by Richard Bevan and funded by Arts Council England. The film will be screened at Picturehouse Central on Wednesday 3rd May. You can find out more about the Real to Reel film festival HERE
