Andre Williams
Andre will exhibit a new collection of handcrafted furniture, textiles and ceramics titled ‘Hidden Room’. Taking inspiration from the forest floor as an endlessly interesting but potentially dangerous place with hidden snakes, poisonous frogs and creepy crawlies. Each piece of furniture is unique, hand painted by the artist and upholstered in his bespoke screen printed textiles.

Dawn Wilson
Following Dawn’s artist residency at Wysing Arts Centre in May 2023, she has developed a new series of ceramic slab tile works using black earthenware, slips, underglazes and sgraffito techniques. Her drawings depict dapper figures dancing, traveling and being in the company of others. Churches, dancefloors and bars feature frequently, and her work draws from historic photographs of communities in Jamaica, Mali and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

”I make portraits of people and places, at church, on the street and in nightclubs. People in Jamaica, in Mali and Congo-Kinshasa. They are about the colour and shape of the face, about bodies moving together and being still. I look at African and Caribbean men’s and women’s fashion, the hair, the face, patterns and the line of the clothes. Fashion and style is important to me, what I wear and looking at what other people wear. It’s about the new, about colour and matching and getting the perfect shape.” Dawn Wilson

Lisa Trim
Lisa’s lively characterisations of animals, fictional and historical figures often combine with deadpan observations of everyday life and objects to create a visual language packed with fun and irreverence. For Collect she has scaled up using screen print, embroidery and applique to make new richly embellished figurative and decorative textiles. She will unveil her latest work ‘ROSE & CROWN’ to share her fascination with pubs, their interiors, signage and the social spaces they create for people to come together.
