This newly opened group exhibition includes fifteen artworks by Clifton Wright, loaned from the Intoart Collection. For the show, Firstsite curator George Morl delved into the hundreds of works, across drawings and ceramics, by Clifton Wright held in our Collection.
Lunar Lullabies is a Galactic Journey Through 200 Years of Space Exploration inspired by Colchester’s Jane Taylor’s timeless poem, ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.’ The exhibition showcases artworks which explore space and science, alongside historical artifacts and contemporary pop culture nods. To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Essex writer’s passing and trace the fascinating legacy of her writing and its influence on modern-day comics and video games.
